Terms of Service
Last updated August 1, 2026
1. What this is
CrewCaptain ("we", "us") provides software-as-a-service for field service businesses: scheduling, crew routing, job check-offs, time tracking, quoting, invoicing, and financial reporting ("the Service"). These Terms govern use of the Service by the business that signs up ("Customer") and its authorized users.
2. Accounts
A Customer's account owner controls who on their team has access. Each user must keep their login credentials private and not share accounts. Customer is responsible for the accuracy of information its users enter — job check-offs and time records may feed customer invoices and payroll processes.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for legitimate business purposes.
- Do not attempt to access another Customer's data, probe, or reverse engineer the Service.
- Do not use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
4. Ownership
CrewCaptain owns the Service, its software, and its design. Business records Customer creates in the Service (its customers, properties, jobs, invoices, time entries, and similar data) belong to Customer. CrewCaptain may use aggregated, de-identified data to improve the Service.
5. Third-party services
The Service connects to services required to operate: Supabase (data hosting), Intuit QuickBooks Online (accounting and invoicing, only if Customer connects it), and mapping/geocoding providers (addresses and measurements), plus Anthropic (the in-app AI assistant, only processing Customer's own connected data to answer Customer's questions). Use of those integrations is also subject to those providers' own terms where they apply.
6. Fees, trial and cancellation
CrewCaptain is sold as a monthly subscription per company, at the price of the plan chosen at signup (currently Solo $30, Crew $65, or Company $99 per month, differing by team size). Every new company starts with a 30-day free trial and no card is required to begin it. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on the web, not through the App Store, and renew monthly until cancelled.
A Customer may cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in the app. Cancellation stops future renewals; the subscription remains active until the end of the period already paid for, and we do not pro-rate partial months. If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, the account becomes read-only rather than closed — a Customer can always still see and export its own records. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect.
6a. Online invoice payments (optional)
A Customer may enable online invoice payments, which requires completing Stripe's onboarding and accepting Stripe's own connected-account agreement. In that arrangement the Customer — not CrewCaptain — is the merchant of record for invoices it sends: it sets its own prices, owns the relationship with the payer, and is responsible for the work billed, for any refunds or disputes, and for the taxes on that revenue. Stripe's processing fees are deducted from those payments. CrewCaptain takes no percentage of a Customer's invoice revenue.
7. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrewCaptain is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
Either party may stop using/providing the Service at any time. Customer may export its data before closing an account by contacting us. Sections 4 and 7 survive termination.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated Terms.
